Education

Colleges, universities and K-12 campuses are often micro-cities unto themselves. From updating century-old utilities to preparing sites for new academic and athletics facilities, institutions count on us.

Building for Student Success

With over 55 projects completed since 1999, Faulconer remains the civil contractor of choice on education projects in Virginia and North Carolina. We understand the importance of safe, reliable facilities that are built to last generations.

Faulconer is well-versed in the construction of new educational facilities as well as the refit of existing facilities. Both pose different considerations for construction. With a new facility project, a sense of urgency is often felt as the need for expansion precedes the job.

With a refit or remodel, limiting disruptions to ongoing student activities is front of mind. From active work sites in and amongst classroom and administration buildings to delivering major infrastructure improvements starting the day after graduates receive their diplomas and finishing before the first day of the new school year.

K-12

K-12 education is a key part of the fabric of the community and in many cases, our team member’s children will attend the schools that we are building.

Higher Education

Often a source of state-wide pride, and sometimes international renown, College and university campuses serve thousands of stakeholders each day. The infrastructure to keep these buildings operational, and increasingly sustainable, is vital to achieving their mission.
