Raleigh Convention Center

The City of Raleigh constructed a new convention center located in the downtown area. Faulconer Construction Company was responsible for the excavation and grading on this project. In addition to the 325,000 CY of earth that had to be hauled off-site, challenges included installing and maintaining a de-watering system for a hole that reached depths of 30'. FCC had to coordinate the 25 plus dump trucks it used on a daily basis with the other trades that were also working on-site. When complete, the New Raleigh Convention Center will cover an entire city block.
